And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. —Colossians 3:17 When we gather as Cru staff, we often like to share what God has been doing in our ministry work to reach people for Christ. Just a couple weeks ago, the national leaders of Cru’s campus ministry came together for an annual conference, and saw a video our team just completed that shared some of those God-sightings. The 5-minute video can be viewed at https://vimeo.com/60613058 or http://gogmx.org/media/1634
David Larson, an intern with our team this year, drew and photographed 1,791 images to create the animation seen in the video. It was great to see David use his gifting to create a piece like this for the purpose of celebrating how God has been working in our ministry to change people’s lives. Below are a couple scenes from the video, but please watch it to see it in action!
Some of those ways God has been working:
•Last year, the gospel was shared over 6.5 million times, and as a result, over 111,000 women and men said “yes” to Jesus for the first time.
•With over 78,000 students and faculty members engaged in ministry on high school and college campuses around the world, the name of Christ is being lifted high.
•Last summer, 223 locations across the U.S. and around the world hosted summer mission projects. Over 3,200 students and faculty members spent the summer exploring new places and sharing their faith in Jesus with the people they met along the way. More than 124,000 people heard the gospel, and over 15,000 accepted Christ’s lordship.
These stories are possible thanks to you being on our team of people, praying for us and supporting us and our ministry! Thanks so much.
please pray for:
David’s friends, John & Cindy Peterson, who just lost their son, Ian, to cancer
The hundreds of students who will attend Big Break over the next few weeks
For our kids’ great teachers, and how well they’re doing in school
The completion of the celebration video in time to be shown at the national leadership conference, and for the results shared in it
