God at Work
Perhaps you have been saddened, much as we have been, by recent news events. The bombing at the Boston Marathon, the explosion in West, Texas, earthquakes in China and Iran, the horrific Gosnell abortion case, and the threats of North Korea can feel wearying. In marked contrast to all that disheartening news, God is still sovereign, and at work, drawing people to himself!
Heather has recently helped produce some presentations which share ministry results of the past nine months. They are intended to be shared with some major donors, and we think you will be encouraged to hear about them, too!
Thanks to your prayers and financial support:
A four-minute gospel video called Falling Plates was developed, which has been viewed over 1 million times since it was released last December. 1,531 people said they started following Christ as a result of the video. (View the video online at www.fallingplates.com/)
77 students at the Indiana University were inspired to create video stories of what they were like “Before and After” knowing Jesus. By the end of the week, their YouTube channel had 9,700 views – about one fourth of the student body!
(You can see some examples at www.youtube.com/user/CruBeforeAndAfter)
6,736 people in closed countries have become Christians in the last nine months, thanks to your support of EveryStudent.com.
Over 3,000 education majors involved with Cru were equipped for a lifetime of ministry in the public school system—new teachers like Ashley, who, in response to violence at her school, started a Bible study to help kids learn about Jesus.
You are making a difference through your partnership with us and Cru! Thank you for the lives you are helping to connect to God.
We plan to host a neighborhood bible club for kids in June; pray all the pieces fall in place and lots of neighbors hear about Jesus!
