Leaders from another Cru ministry approached us several months ago who wanted to see films made in a format of people describing, in an interactive and relatable sort of way, how to live different aspects of the Christian life. Subjects like how to walk in the power of the Spirit, how to forgive, how to know you’re a Christian, and how to share your faith. What’s interesting is, these leaders wanted the films for English and Spanish (NOT American) audiences. So, in mid-April, David and three other team members went to Birmingham, England, and Barcelona, Spain. Heather has been working on promotional materials for the films. The shoot went well and we’re hoping to have the films ready in the next couple months. These films are experimental—we’ll be waiting to see how they impact those audiences in Europe—but if they help people learn these topics, it could be the first step towards making many more.
In May, we’ll be putting together ten to twenty 15-second clips that deal with everything from regret to body image and sacrificial love to share on Instagram (that’s a smartphone app that allows users to share photos and short videos). These are aimed at the younger generation, and we hope they’ll encourage conversation online. You can pray for us as we pull these together!
