Campus Crusade for Christ International

Our Mission

Campus Crusade for Christ International is an interdenominational ministry committed to helping take the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations. We cooperate with churches and organizations around the world to help Christians grow in their faith and share the gospel message with their fellow countrymen.

Working together with these fellow believers, our goal for this decade is to help give every man, woman and child in the entire world an opportunity to find new life in Jesus Christ.

Our commitment is based on our Lord’s command: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20 (NAS)

The JESUS Film Project

History & Mission

Hollywood producer John Heyman approached Bill Bright in 1976 with the idea of putting the Bible on film. The project was scaled down to the Gospel of Luke, and in 1979 the docu-drama called The Jesus Film was completed.

In 1981 Bill Bright created The JESUS Film Project with the goal of accurately translating the movie into other languages to be shown around the world. Today the movie stands as the most translated and viewed movie in history. Twelve hundred languages have been completed, and its been estimated that someone comes to Christ after watching The JESUS Film every eight seconds.

Current Strategies

October 2012 marks the launch of the JESUS Film Media App. Every language of the film, and all other films produced by The JESUS Film Project, can be accessed free from your phone.  (check it out)
Other versions of The JESUS Film have been made, such as The JESUS Film for Children, and Magdalena (and are also being translated). (read more)
Follow-up films that share what it is like once one has received Christ have been filmed for audiences in Africa and India.
Many short narrative films have been produced that help lead into spiritual conversations. (This is the area that David’s team focuses on.) (check it out)
Churches, mission groups and individuals around the world use the tools of The JESUS Film around the world to expose people to Jesus, and plant churches.
See for yourself the impact the film has. Watch the reactions of the Gamo people in Africa as they see and hear The JESUS Film for the first time. (see clip.)
