Hurricane Dorian
We prepared for Hurricane Dorian’s arrival, and then we were grateful that it turned away from a Central Florida landfall. We pray for those in the Bahamas who received the full force of the storm for hours and hours, and for those on other islands and along the coast who will also feel some effects from it.
“Happiness is $1.25”
Have you ever found yourself thinking I’ll be happy when… becoming overly focused on an item, person or vacation that you think will bring joy? Earlier in the summer, we shot a short film that takes a lighthearted look at this subject. Both Mikayla and Elijah served as production assistants and extras during the shoot. In the film, a man repeatedly tries to get a stuck candy bar labeled “Happiness” from a vending machine. He is finally successful and happy, eating his chocolate bar…until he sees another one, but this one is huge, and labeled, “Deluxe Happiness.” The first candy bar is quickly forgotten.
Editing is well underway for this film and we hope that it will speak to people about how we often chase after things to make us happy, although we are really only satisfied by God.
Thanks for your continued prayers and partnership with us in reaching people today with the love and truth of Jesus!
Please pray:
For our kids back in school (8th and 9th grade)
For relief efforts in the Bahamas
