October 2019 Ministry Update

Breathe

A short film we produced that is ready for some testing is called “Breathe.” In it, a young woman suddenly wakes up having an asthma attack and quickly has to find her inhaler. The short has no dialogue, but the music and sound effects add to our actress’ performance in making the viewer concerned for her well-being. Will she find what she needs to breathe easily again? Is she going to be OK? You’ll have to see the film once it’s available on our app for those answers.

After seeing it, it’s easy to transition to topics like, “What is essential in your life?” or “How much does anxiety impact you?” We look forward to seeing how well this piece connects with audiences.

Cru Club at Innovation Middle School

Thanks to the initiative of a staff guy named Bill, there has been a place for our middle school students to gather to have some fun and hear about how God loves them. Every Tuesday after school, anywhere from 8 to 12 students meet with us, and the students themselves serve as the emcee and lead games. Our last meeting had 16 attending! They also hear a teaching from an adult (Bill, or me, or another parent) about God and how to draw closer to him.

We hope you’re enjoying your fall, and that you’re experiencing God and drawing closer to him yourself. Thank you for your partnership in giving or prayer!

Please pray:
